Katie Campbell

Katie Campbell is currently in her junior year at the University of Virginia studying Chemical Engineering. She mentored at NASA Langley Research Center in 2010 in the Materials and Structures Branch researching the adhesive properties on carbon polymers subject to liquid degradation. During the summer of 2012, Katie participated in the Langley Aerospace Research Student Scholars (LARSS) program in the Mechanical Systems Branch. Campbell, a native of Hampton, Va., will discuss her work at the NASA Langley Research Center relating to the Hypersonic Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerator and Inflatable Reentry Vehicle Experiment projects being developed to ensure the safe landing of spacecrafts.
